Namco Bandai has enjoyed a bevy of press for its upcoming fighter, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (TTT2). The game, which is set to come out in September, has been met with anticipation for years.
With a title this popular, rumors were bound to surface. The latest one is that Tekken 6's Tougou will be a playable character in TTT2. The game's producer, Katsuhiro Harada, took to Twitter to respond.
Desk is not one to upload combos with insignificant damage. That's why he's made this new Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) combo video that shows some serious damage. Here is Combo-a-Day six, seven, and eight.

Maximilian is one day away from completing his second week of action with Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT). Like all the previous days, the fourth day sees Max surfing through fan mail and taking his skills to ranked matches.
Those hoping for the Alpha series to be included in the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Set were in for a rude awakening. All the games included in the set were revealed last week and the Alpha series was nowhere to be found.
With the popularity of the Alpha series, it's hard to see why Capcom would eliminate it from the 25th anniversary of Street Fighter. Many wondered if the company didn't feel it would be feasible to include these titles.
A Capcom product manager who calls himself Neo Deus on the Capcom-Unity boards, revealed why the Alpha series is missing.
Street Fighter x DC Universe? A new work in progress PC mod for Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition v.2012 (AE v.2012) has been uploaded by Mugen1love and it's a doozy. We've seen Sonic the Hedgehog in AE v.2012 as well as Seth and Charlie in Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT), but now Batman joins the long list of PC mods for Capcom fighters.
The revolution has begun.
Last week, the official trailer to WWE '13 was leaked, much to the chagrin of THQ. The game was officially revealed on Monday Night Raw, which would explain why THQ didn't want to keep the cat out of the bag.
Nov. 1 was the date advertised when the trailer leaked, but that's not the North American date. The game will land in the United States on Oct. 30. It'll be released for Xbox 360, PS3, and Nintendo Wii.
And that's not all the news THQ has provided to IGN.
Heroes and Heralds may be as dead as a doornail online, but Endless Comboz hasn't dismissed the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3) mode. He has added a volume two to his "Heroes and Heralds is Broken" series and re-uploaded volume one.

The episodes of "ASSIST ME!" that feature Phoenix have wrapped up, but Maximilian has uploaded outtakes of the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3) series.
For Justin Wong, now is not the time to recharge batteries.
In 2012, Wong is taking the west coast by storm with his Street Fighter play. The man has won countless tournaments in games such as AE v.2012, MvC3, MvC2, and the list keeps going.
With so many tournament appearances, one may think it would be in Wong's best interest to step back and take a breather. The only problem is, he doesn't want to. In fact, it's been a long time since the tournament kingpin took a break from the fighting game scene.
Three years to be exact.
The third day of Maximilian's second week with Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) has hit the web. He provides live commentary for his ranked matches. Max surfs through some fan mail along the way.
On Wednesday (May 23) another Big Two tournament was completed. As usual, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3) and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition v.2012 (AE v.2012) action was played.
Some of the best players on the east coast such as Chris G, Dieminion, and others participated. Find out who won the tournaments after the jump.
Maximilian has been working hard on improving at every fighting game he owns. Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike is no exception. Here is the eight episode of the 3rd Strike edition of the "Online Warrior."
Guilty Gear is one of the most renowned fighting game franchises. Its compelling characters, stages, and gameplay have earned the respect of critics and more importantly, fans.
Even when Arc System Works tried to move on with Blazblue, a very successful series in its own right, gamers still clamored for more Guilty Gear. And that's exactly what they're going to get.
Maximilian is back on Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT). He has started his second week with the crossover and uploaded days one and two of his week with the game. See how he fares in days one and two below:
Friday, May 25, 2012
We'll be taking off this weekend (May 27, 28). As always, we won't be updating the site on Saturday. Be sure to come back on Tuesday (May 29) for your fighting game fix.
Maximilian's "ASSIST ME!" series is getting ready for the next chapter. Wesker's plan may spell trouble for the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3) series.

Capcom has revealed the next batch of Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) DLC will arrive June 5 on Xbox Live and PSN. The pack contains mostly gems. A free color palette and the complete costume swap pack will also be available.

Survival of the fittest.
When you hear the Capcom name, many things probably pop into your head. Some say brilliant, others say greedy. The one word that is rarely associated with the company is failure.
That's because Capcom is staying on their toes. Not one to let the times pass him by, Capcom CEO Kenzo Tsujimoto believes speeding up development will be a big cost that'll result in an even greater gain (via EuroGamer).
The second part to Maximilian's "ASSIST ME!" series featuring Phoenix has been posted. After turning dark in the first part, can Phoenix last without causing damage to Max, Doctor Doom, and the universe?
Ken and Marshall Law is a team that shouldn't be taken lightly in Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT). Snoooootch has uploaded his latest combo video with the Street Fighter and Tekken martial artists.
|Kunimitsu joins Ogre, Michelle, and Angel as TTT2 DLC.|
Namco Bandai has announced TTT2 pre-order specials at select retailers. GameStop, Best Buy, and Amazon are all participants, but only one can give you all four fighters.
Pre-ordering the game at the store will get you Ogre, Michelle, Kunimitsu, and Angel. If you make the early purchase at Best Buy or Amazon, you'll receive Michelle and Angel.
The revolution has been revealed. The trailer to THQ's upcoming grappler, WWE '13 has been leaked. CM Punk is the star of the clip and it appears he will be on the cover. No word yet on whether or not THQ will actually be motivated enough to actually provide an enjoyable online experience. I doubt it.
Lei Fang and Zack have been confirmed by Tecmo Koei for the Dead or Alive 5 (DoA 5) roster. Not only has the company confirmed the inevitable, but they've also provided gameplay footage of the two characters.
See Fang and Zack in action below:
Iron Man isn't the easiest character to use in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3). Luckily, uploaders such as xBLACKJAGUAR13 are posting bread and butter (BnB) combos to help ease the difficulty.

You didn't think this was over, did you?
Mike Z revealed Skullgirls 2.0 patch notes on Monday (May 21). While there was plenty of interesting stuff the Skullgirls developer noted, that wasn't all he had to say.
Mike joined Ultra Chen to dive deeper in the 2.0 patch for the Reverge Labs fighter. Watch him dish out some more details after the jump.
Maximilian has had his share of interesting opponents in SoulCalibur V (SCV). From Hawkeye to Kenshi, Max has seen it all ... or so he thought. In the 12th episode of the SCV edition of the "Online Warrior," he runs into Solid Snake.
A sudden brief hitaus halted FightVG.com for a bit.
But have no fear, we have returned. If you missed most of the Big Two tonight because of us, we apologize. You can still catch the rest of the event as of this writing.
At the moment, AE v.2012 is being played. Watch the live stream below before it wraps up.
Vergil, C. Viper, and Dante can make for a solid team in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3). Chinny0120 wants to prove this to be true with his latest combo video. This team ariel combo (TAC) may not be practical, but sometimes just messing around in the lab is all you need.

Back in February, Namco Bandai released Tekken 3D Prime Edition for the Nintendo 3DS. Now it appears the company has its sights set on a Wii U title and a 3DS title.
The new release schedule from Namco Bandai (via Fancensus) reveals two Tekken games for the upcoming Wii U console and the 3DS. If this turns out to be true, both versions could be compatible. Just 14 days after the release of Tekken 3D Prime, Katsuhiro Harada discussed what drew his attention to the Wii U.
At the moment, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3) seems to be the most popular fighting game. As mentioned in our UMvC3 Evo 2012 preview, the game captured the excitement of the fighting game community (FGC) that no other title before it has been able to do.
Despite the tremendous reception on the competitive field, Capcom isn't eager to update the title with more DLC. In fact, the UMvC3 team has moved on according to Capcom's Vice President Christian Svensson (via Event Hubs).
Capcom sent out a press release revealing the release date for the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Set and more details regarding the content. The limited edition set will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3 on Sept. 18.
Included in this set will be a slew of Street Fighter titles. The games featured are: Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike Online Edition, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition with all costume DLC, and Street Fighter x Tekken including all character and Swap Costume DLC.
But that's not all.

You're doing it wrong.
That's how Capcom community manager, Seth Killian says he feels regarding Marvel vs. Capcom (MvC) tier lists. This includes character rankings for MvC2, MvC3, and UMvC3.
With tier lists being popular these days, what could be the problem with rankings for the MvC series? The series has always been about the right teams rather than characters.
See Killian explain on his Twitter (via Event Hubs) below:
This should whet your appetite.
STL1119 has uploaded a combo video from Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (TTT2) Unlimited. The update to TTT2 is only available in Japanese Arcades. The game will see a North American release on the week of Sept. 10.
Lars, Jin, Nina, and more are featured in the clip. Watch the combo video after the jump.
Here is the fifth day of week two of Maximilian's week with Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3). The live commentary returns for day five. Max attempts to use different characters for this video and surfs through fan mail.
That's how long it's been since Mortal Kombat (MK) made its controversial debut. The fatalities of the first MK game in 1992 caused an outcry from parents who didn't want their kids to see violence of that magnitude.
Today, MK is one of the most highest grossing fighting games on the market. Its longevity is nothing short of impressive. Even though MK may not be a favorite on the competitive side, one can't deny its place in fighting game history.
Watch Gamespot's 20 year retrospective below:
King of Fighters XIII (KoFXIII) will be making its way to Evo 2012. With the hype surrounding it's appearance at the biggest fighting game tournament of the year, you can bet that combo videos will be going strong. PersonaWorld has made a Raiden combo video.
In a press release, Namco Bandai has revealed Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (TTT2) will be released the week of September 10. Europe will receive the title on Sept. 14. TTT2 will be landing on Xbox 360 and PS3.
The game has already made a splash in Japanese Arcades. From the Unlimited update to even a tier list, TTT2 has already made a mark on fighting games without even seeing a console launch yet.
Yesterday (May 21), Michelle, Ogre, Angel, and Kunimitsu were confirmed as DLC. The press release notes that all four characters will be available at launch. It'll be interesting to see whether or not those characters are locked on the disc.
Monday, May 21, 2012
Dead or Alive 5 (DoA 5) will make its way to Xbox 360 and PS3 in September. While the game is still a few months away from hitting store shelves, that hasn't stopped combo videos from surfacing. DOATECNATION has put together a DoA 5 combo video from the alpha build.
|Kunimitsu will be a DLC character in TTT2 along with Michelle, Ogre and Angel|
DLC can be a gift and a curse.
On one hand, the more the content the better. On the other hand, paid DLC means a cover up for an incomplete game. The methods of DLC delivery can also cause problems with fans. Just ask Capcom.
You've heard both sides of the story, but what does Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (TTT2) producer, Katsuhiro Harada have to say about it? Find out (via Gamespot) below:
A popular term used in the fighting game community (FGC) is hype. In the 30th episode of the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3) edition of the "Online Warrior," Maximilian attempts to provide a definition for hype.
When Chinatown Fair in New York City reopened, there was plenty to be excited about. When the Arcade returned, that excitement was replaced with disappointment.
The old school cabinets were gone. Fighting games on current generation consoles were present but the art of fighting gaming cabinets seemed lost.
But it's actually alive and well. See why after the jump.
Here is the fourth day to Maximilian's week with Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3). Max's week with fighting games is an attempt to give viewers a different look at online ranked matches outside of the "Online Warrior."
Change is coming.
Mike Z of the Skullgirls team revealed a slew of changes in the new 2.0 patch of the Reverge Labs fighter. He told the Mix Up stream the patch notes are not finalized.

Welcome back Charlie.
Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) was released on the PC this month. With a PC release, mods for the version were inevitable. It was only a matter of time and the time is now.

The 11th episode of the SoulCalibur V (SCV) edition of the "Online Warrior" is here. Maximilian hasn't slowed down his video production yet despite some problems. While the situation mostly impacts "ASSIST ME!" it's still impressive that Max hasn't shown any signs of stopping.
Like all the other SCV "Online Warrior" episodes, Max delivers some live commentary. This gives the viewer spur of the moment insight as his online ranked matches take place. Thanks to SCV's creation mode, Max runs into some interesting characters such as Hawkeye and Kenshi.

Desk continues his Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) combo videos. Chun-Li and Julia team up for this damage inflicting overhead combo. This does 25 hits for 612k damage and utilizes Pandora mode.
Capcom recently released a patch for Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT). While the patch fixed many issues such as infinites, an even bigger problem emerged. Rolento can now lock up the game.
If Rolento throws his knife at projectiles, the game will freeze. You'll have to reset your console if you want to continue playing. This is a glaring issue, so much so that the character has been considered for banning of tournaments.
The official Capcom Japanese blog has confirmed that a fix is underway. Expect to download the patch in mid-June.
The third day to Maximilian's second week with Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3) has been posted. Live commentary is present for this video. Max gives live insight on his online ranked matches and surfs through some fan mail.
Mr. Ladin, you've got some explaining to do.
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale promises to be chock full of surprises. The game already has PaRappa the Rapper and Kratos from God of War. What more can Sony do to impress?
How about adding Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, Nathan Drake from Uncharted and Cole MacGrath from inFamous? It turns out the fantasy of having all three characters in one fighting game is a reality.
See Eric Ladin, voice of Cole MacGrath, spill the beans on Twitter (via IGN) after the jump.
You didn't think Maximilian was done with his weeks of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3), did you? Not a chance, in fact he's just getting started. Here are days one and two of the second week of UMvC3 action.

We have to do it again.
FightVG.com will not be updating tomorrow (May 18, 2012). Scheduling conflicts will prevent the site from updating the latest news on Friday. We will return Sunday (May 20) to get you up to speed on the happenings of the fighting game world.
Have a nice weekend.
Nemesis is one bad villain in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3). With the help of Nova and Sentinel, Motion51 shows that the Resident Evil antagonist can produce some punishing damage.
Capcom released a Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) patch this week. While the patch fixed infinites and nerfed some characters, there was one big issue Capcom dropped the ball on.
When Rolento throws his knife at projectiles, the game freezes. It's such a game breaking error that the character may be banned at one of the biggest fighting game tournaments of the year.
See what CEO organizer Alex Jebailey had to say on Twitter regarding Rolento's future in the upcoming tournament after the jump.
Maximilian has uploaded the seventh episode of the Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike edition of the "Online Warrior." The live commentary that Max has been using in a good portion of his videos returns for this one.
Another Big Two event has wrapped up.
Last night (May 16) another edition of the tournament series went down from Next Level in Brooklyn, NY. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3), and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition v.2012 (AE v.2012) were played.
To the surprise of almost no one, Chris G once again took first place in UMvC3 action. Dieminion bested Sanford Kelly to take first place in AE v.2012 action.
See the Big Two 5/16/12 result below:
Desk is at it again. The popular fighting game uploader has once again delivered a punishing Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) combo. The mastermind behind breaking Capcom games uses Julia and Rufus to demonstrate his awesomeness.

Namco Bandai has released some new screenshots on the official Project X Zone website. The images revealed that Street Fighter's Chun-Li and Darkstalkers' Morrigan will be playable in the upcoming Nintendo 3DS title.
This adds to the already beefy roster for Project X Zone. Many fighting game characters such as Ryu and Ken will be featured. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3) standouts such as Dante, Chris, Jill, and Zero will also be in the game. Even Mega Man will be playable in this Sega, Capcom, and Namco Bandai crossover.

Desk isn't the only one dishing out Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) patch impressions.
Maximilian has released a follow-up video to his latest episode of the "Online Warrior." Here Max discusses the new SFxT 1.04 patch aimed to remove infinites as well as nerf characters such as Zangief and Rufus.
He also dives into the freezing glitch that occurs when Rolento throws his knife at most projectiles. Watch the video below:
Maximilian has uploaded the 10th episode to the Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) edition of the "Online Warrior." Max talks about SFxT's downward spiral and compares its reception from the fans to 2004's Capcom Fighting Jam.
The demolition man is here.
Desk is back for another Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) video. Shockingly this video isn't dedicated towards breaking the game. Instead, Desk turns his attention to what's been fixed in the 1.04 patch.
While of this information is already behind thanks to the new game freezing glitch discovered earlier today, it's good to see what has been addressed. Watch the video after the jump.
Capcom released the 1.04 patch for Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) today (May 16). While infinites such as Kazuya's have been removed, an even worse error has been discovered in the new patch. If Rolento's knife makes contact with a firebal, the game freezes entirely. The glitch was discovered by KhaosGamingTV.
Here we go again.
The Big Two is set to go down tonight (May 16) from Next Level in Brooklyn, NY. Sp00ky and the gang are ready to provide the live stream at 8 p.m. ET.
While the official start time is set, Sp00ky usual tests his equipment an hour earlier. You may be able to catch some casual with formidable players.
The usual Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3), Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition v.2012 (AE v.2012) action will be played. SFxT's chances of making it on the stream depends on the turnout.
See the Big Two live stream below:
Juri and Hwoarang can form a solid duo in Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT). Kryojenix15 has posted a SFxT combo video featuring the two fighters titled, "Team Korea."
Namco Bandai revealed during a presentation (via Andriasang) they are expecting to sell two million copies of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (TTT2). The game will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 in September.
The company responsible for the Tekken series isn't the only one throwing out sales expectations. Recently Tecmo Koei said they expect Dead or Alive 5 (DoA 5) to sell one million units. Capcom predicted two million SFxT sales, but have come up short thus far with 1.4 million copies sold.
Tuesday, May 15, 2012
Turns out the PC version of Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) didn't escape the imperfections of the console versions. Fans have been sending complaints to Capcom and they haven't gone unnoticed.
According to Capcom, the PC version still contains some glitches such as the online sound bug that was recently patched on Xbox 360 and PS3. See the statement after the jump.
The Raging Demon has landed in Asura's world.
Capcom has released Lost Episode 2 of Asura's Wrath on Xbox Live and PSN today (March 15). Delriach of SRK has posted a clip of Akuma knowing Ryu out of the universe and encountering Asura.
See the clip below:
Here is the 29th episode to Maximilian's Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3) series, "Online Warrior." There's no live commentary for these videos most of the time, and this one is no exception. Max runs down his online ranked matches as usual.
It's doing quite well on PSN apparently. Sony revealed the top 20 PSN sales of April 2012. Skullgirls nabbed third place behind Journey and I Am Alive.
The Reverge Labs fighter saw success almost immediately. The game sold 50,000 copies in just 10 days.
xBLACKJAGUAR13 continues to upload Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3) bread and butter (BnB) combos. Marvel's She-Hulk is the center of this clip as she does 679k damage and uses one bar of meter to do it.
Monday, May 14, 2012
A new Skullgirls combo video has hit the web. Rkoehl (perhaps a Randy Orton reference) has put the attention of his clip on Parasoul. Infinites may be blocked in this game, but a 33 hit combo that does some damage isn't too bad.
So they say.
Before its release, Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) was marred by controversy. Since they were first announced at New York Comic Con 2011, gems have left a bad taste in the mouths of the fighting game community (FGC). An even bigger issue occurred just before launch day.
To avoid more controversy in the future, Capcom Vice President, Christian Svensson has took to Capcom-Unity to address fans who are losing hope and patience. See his official statement after the jump.
Magneto is not one to take lightly in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3). The Master of Magnetism doesn't even need meter to put a beating on his opponents as shown by rayray19wun. All he needs are some drones. NOTE: The video quality is low.
Sega has released the official trailer to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown. The game will be hitting PSN on June 5 and Xbox Live June 6. The game has been a hit in Japanese Arcades so it should come as no surprise that a console version is on the way.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (TTT2) hasn't even made its way to consoles. That isn't stopping the game from making a killing in Japanese Arcades, however. With the latest Unlimited update, the Namco Bandai fighter is only getting stronger.
TTT2 producer Katsuhiro Harada has been answering questions from fans on his Twitter account. One of those questions had to do with the most used TTT2 characters thus far.
See Harada's top six below:
Tron Bonne is not considered a top tier character in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3) but that's not a problem. The Mega Man antihero is still a threat and xBLACKJAGUAR13 wants to prove it with these damaging bread and butter (BnB) combos.
The Final Showdown is upon us.
Sega has announced its Arcade favorite in Japan, Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown will be released on PSN June 5. An Xbox Live release comes the following day.
Final Showdown will be $14.99 on PSN and 1,200 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live. Sega will also be releasing character customization packs for $4.99 or 400 Microsoft Points each. Oddly there will also be two additional customization packs for the same price as the game itself, each.

"ASSIST ME!" is in a rough spot.
A few days ago, Maximilian revealed that he would be losing his home due to his popular Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3) videos. Max didn't go into details until hitting the NeoGAF forums. He released an official statement video shortly after, explaining everything.
Now FightVG.com asks you if you are considering donating to Maximilian to keep his "ASSIST ME!" series alive. To do so, you'll have to visit our official Facebook page. To vote click here.
Maximilian has finally wrapped up his week of action with Namco Bandai's SoulCalibur V (SCV). In day four, Max didn't have a solid outing, losing more games than he wanted to and running into a rage quitter. See if Max had better luck on the final day of the week.
Maximilian has tackled the fourth day of SoulCalibur V (SCV) online ranked action. Max runs through some fan mail on Xbox Live. Day four wasn't the best day for Max as he was on the losing end more than he would've liked and he even runs into a rage quitter.
