FPS counter arrives on Steam's beta client

Valve continues to add useful features to their Steam platform. Get more details on how to obtain the new FPS counter inside.

Fraps? Bandicam? How about the new frames per second (FPS) counter on Steam?

Valve has added an FPS counter to show its Steam users how games run at certain resolutions on their hardware. This feature is currently only available on the beta client. Once you download the beta, you can go to settings, choose in-game, and check the box that says, "Show in-game frames/sec (FPS)."

This should help our fellow PC fighting gamers check the FPS of games such as Ultra Street Fighter IV and Injustice: Gods Among Us without the need to keep another program running.
