Age of Empires Online release date revealed

The massively multiplayer online (MMO) game, Age of Empires Online, will be released on August 16, 2011 through digital distribution only.

Gas Powered Games made the announcement earlier today.

The MMO will feature the Greek and Egyptian civilizations. Players will be able to buy premium content packs including new civilizations and game modes.

Dungeon Siege 3 demo available on Xbox Live

The Dungeon Siege 3 demo has made its way to the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Besides the hack and slash goodness Dungeon Siege fans are accustomed to, the demo to the third installment features online play and local co-op.

Sony: PSN will be fully restored in America, Europe and Asia by the end of the week

It only does offline, eh?

Early this morning (May 31, 2011) Sony announced that all PlayStation Network services will be "fully restored" by the end of this week in America, Europe and Asia.

Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea have been left in the dark for now.

E3 Preview: WWE '12 release date, cover and details revealed


Are you ready for some wrasslin?

THQ and Yukes have unveiled the new WWE '12 video game to be released in North America on Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii on November 22, 2011.

The new WWE title will see a U.K. release on Nov. 25, 2011.

Quick Pic: Dreamcast handheld goes on sale in Japan


The new handmade Dreamcast handheld will be on sale in Japan next month (June). Before you think about purchasing one, you should know that it comes with a hefty price tag. $469 to be exact and that ain't yen.

E3 Preview: Street Fighter X Tekken

Capcom’s Street Fighter and Namco’s Tekken will be showing a preview of their combined work known as Street Fighter X Tekken.

Two games of this crossover will be released and the first one, Street Fighter X Tekken will play like the Street Fighter games while the Tekken X Street Fighter will play like the Tekken games.

The game will play like a tag team fighter like one of the modes from Mortal Kombat 9. The levels will be a combination of both games. From looking at this trailer the game will have a story mode of the combine series where we peer into the world of a what if scenario of both worlds combined.

Currently the confirmed roster for the game:
Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Kazuya Mishima, Nina Williams, Abel, Bob, King, Marduk, Ken Masters and a recent trailer reveals Julia Chang will be joining the fray.

New Sony handheld to be renamed Vita?

It's the PSP2. No, it's the NGP. No, it's the Vita.

With rumors buzzing about the name change to Sony's new upcoming handheld, there may now be some truth to it.

A subdomain to Sony's developer sites has been revealed: vita.SCEdev.net.

If you type in random words in the subdomain, you will receive an error page. However, NGP and Vita will get you to the product page.

Metal Gear Solid creator will miss E3

Say it ain't so, Hideo.

The creator of the most recognized stealth series in gaming history, Hideo Kojima, will not be attending E3 this year.

Last year's E3 featured a bevy of Metal Gear Solid news, including the Solid Rising debut trailer.

The popular gaming franchise may sit this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo out.

Poor Raiden.
