It's almost Tuesday (Sept. 18).

That's the day Capcom's Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collection will hit stores in North America. Here's what the set will feature (via Gamestop).

• Experience Past and Present Street Fighter Games: Gamers get a snapshot of Street Fighter with four critically-acclaimed games that represent important chapters in Street Fighter history. The collection features Super Street Fighter® II Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter® III Third Strike Online Edition, Super Street Fighter® IV Arcade Edition with all costume DLC, and Street Fighter® X Tekken® including all character and Swap Costume DLC.
• Light-up Ryu Statue: Standing 8 inches tall, the highly detailed Ryu statue features the iconic character in mid- Shoryuken with flames that light up from below. The collectable statue has been specially commissioned for the Collector's Set and is not available anywhere else.
• Blu-Ray Video Set: The exclusive Blu-Ray two-disc set includes a documentary that highlights the profound influence the franchise has had on fans - and vice versa - throughout the years. The disc also includes Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV Anime movies as well as all episodes of the Street Fighter animated series and Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie.
• Soundtrack: 11 discs worth of Street Fighter music spanning the past 25 years. Two of the discs include remixes and fan-created music inspired by past Street Fighter games.
• Art Book: The 64-page art book pays tribute to Street Fighter fans from all over the world and includes fan pieces submitted by professional and aspiring artists alike.

[UPDATED] San Diego Comic-Con 2012: Capcom schedule revealed

Here we go again.

It's summer 2012, so that means another Comic-Con in San Diego is here. Tomorrow (July 12) the event kicks off and will wrap up on the 15th. Capcom is taking advantage of the occasion with a schedule and a live stream set.

Right off the bat, the company will be showcasing the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Set. From there it's outside the fighting game genre.

Capcom launches Street Fighter 25th Anniversary website

Let the celebration begin.

Capcom has launched the official Street Fighter 25th Anniversary website. The 25th Anniversary Set will make its way to Xbox 360 and PS3 Sept. 18. For more details on what will be included in the limited edition package, click here.

The new website features some dazzling artwork. On display are M. Bison, Blanka, and many other characters that have made the Street Fighter series unique. Visit StreetFighter25.com to see the content.

Not only is Capcom celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Street Fighter with a slew of games, animes, books, and accessories. They are also enjoying the moment with $500,000 in tournament money. For a list of tournament dates and locations, head past the jump.

Capcom: Street Fighter Alpha series not included in 25th Anniversary Set due to value

Those hoping for the Alpha series to be included in the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Set were in for a rude awakening. All the games included in the set were revealed last week and the Alpha series was nowhere to be found.

With the popularity of the Alpha series, it's hard to see why Capcom would eliminate it from the 25th anniversary of Street Fighter. Many wondered if the company didn't feel it would be feasible to include these titles.

A Capcom product manager who calls himself Neo Deus on the Capcom-Unity boards, revealed why the Alpha series is missing.

Capcom sent out a press release revealing the release date for the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Set and more details regarding the content. The limited edition set will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3 on Sept. 18.

Included in this set will be a slew of Street Fighter titles. The games featured are: Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter III 3^rd Strike Online Edition, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition with all costume DLC, and Street Fighter x Tekken including all character and Swap Costume DLC.
