PS4 controller to work on PCs at launch

Sony is letting PC gamers use the PS4 controller out the gate. Get the lowdown inside.

President of Sony Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida revealed on his Twitter account (via Gamespot) that the PS4 controller will work on PCs with, "basic functions," and that, "the analog sticks and buttons will work just fine." The controller will work on PCs at launch.

This could be good news for PC fighting game enthusiasts who prefer controllers over arcade sticks and who enjoy using a PlayStation controller over an Xbox controller. Games such as the upcoming Ultra Street Fighter IV, King of Fighters XIII and the recently announced Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition could help players on the PC versions enjoy the experience even more.

It's likely that the "Share" button, touchpad and motion sensor capabilities of the PS4 controller will not work on PCs.
