Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown sells over 300,000 downloads globally

Earlier this month, Sega revealed they had exceeded sales expectations for Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown in Japan. Not much else was known in terms of sales. Now the clouds have cleared just a bit more.

Sega has announced they have sold over 300,000 downloads of Final Showdown globally within two weeks of its release. Still no word on North American sales figures.

This has to be considered a big success for Sega and AM2 with the latest installment in the Virtua Fighter series being a downloadable title.
