UFC Undisputed 3: screenshots and details revealed

So you wanna be a fighter?

THQ and Yukes are back at it again with the latest installment to the UFC Undisputed franchise. From the looks of it, we could be in for the best mixed martial arts (MMA) game to hit store shelves.

For starters, the game features over 150 fighters including competitors from the featherweight and bantamweight divisions. You can take those fighters inside the Octagon under unified rules or you can take a trip down memory lane and enter Pride mode.

Pride Fighting Championships (Pride FC) was founded in 1997 and was based in Japan. The organization was sold in 2007 to the co-owners of Zuffa, Lorenzo Fertitta and Frank Fertitta III. Like the bouts in Pride FC, you will be allowed to use soccer kicks, knees to the head of a downed opponent and head stomps.

In addition to a larger roster and Pride mode, UFC Undisputed 3 will have a new submission system and "simplified gameplay controls." New camera positions and fighter entrances (see Wanderlei Silva screenshot above) have made their way to the third game.

THQ and Yukes are also aiming for a "revamped online experience," with new features and improvements in old ones.

Also added to the game are new ways to finish a fight, enhanced visuals and new moves.
