Two Cents: Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition

It’s Back!

One of the best Street Fighter games to ever hit the world is returning for the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, Street Fighter III: Third Strike.

The game will feature, enhanced visual filters, bonus content unlocked through completing in-game achievements and trophies and the ability to replay matches and upload them straight to Youtube.

An optional remixed soundtrack by Simon Viklund makes its way to Third Strike as well as GGPO-built online play for lag-less gameplay.

Did we forget to mention it's Third Strike online?

The game is basically just Third Strike but better. Capcom did right in bringing back a game many Street Fighter fans enjoyed and making it online so gamers who had always wished to play the best in Japan, United States and the rest of the world.

The game was already great with it’s great fighting gameplay, long list cast of 20 characters, well done visuals and an amazing soundtrack. What it needed was a legit online service.

And here it is.

This game will make people who put this game down come back and those who never heard of it become fans. It is truly a revival of a legendary game. It may even be brought back into competitive play maybe even hitting up EVO. There is nothing to hate about this game unless you're not a Street Fighter fan.

Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition hits PSN and the Xbox Live Marketplace this summer August 26, 2011.
