Komplete Edition of MK9 coming to PC as digital download July 3, retail version drops Aug. 6

WB Games has finally caved in and will be releasing the Mortal Kombat 9 Komplete Edition on the PC. Get the juicy details inside.

"Victory," said PC gamers.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced the upcoming release of Mortal Kombat 9 (MK9) on the PC. The game will be released as a digital download on July 3. If downloading isn't your thing, you can purchase a retail copy on August 6.

There's no word on what platform(s) MK9 Komplete Edition will land on. Steam, Games For Windows Live and Origin are the three biggest digital distribution platforms when it comes to gaming. It wouldn't be a stretch to imagine the game landing on all three platforms.

The Komplete Edition of MK9 offers four DLC characters. They are Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain and Freddy Krueger. Fifteen Klassic Mortal Kombat Skins are also included as well as three Klassic Fatalities for Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile.

MK9 was originally developed by NetherRealm Studios. For the PC version, High Voltage Software will handle this version.
