Capcom explains lack of fighting game demos

Asura's Wrath demo? Check. Fighting game demos? Uncheck.

Capcom isn't shy from releasing video game demos. They are, however, highly opposed to making demos of their upcoming fighting games.

Fans of Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) will not be able to give the game a test run before deciding on making a purchase. Why? Capcom VP, Christian Svensson took to Capcom-Unity to explain the lack of fighting game demos:
"There are multiple reasons however the most basic is that demos take time and money away from the main development of the game and in our research, demos of fighting games tend to not provide a return on that investment. Demos in general, in any genre, are a crap shoot. No demo is usually better than an average demo. They can cost a developer sales if that experience isn't perfect."
