Quick Quote: Capcom won't 'spill the beans' on SFxT updates but news is coming soon

"There will be some news on this (Street Fighter x Tekken) front quite soon. Can't spill the beans yet."

Capcom Vice President Christian Svensson was recently asked on Capcom-Unity (via EventHubs) what the status is on the promised SFxT updates. While he says he can't go into detail, he assures gamers that news will be released in the near future. Time will tell if the rebalancing will win over the fighting game community (FGC).

Team Sp00ky is now (Oct. 3) streaming Big Two from Next Level in Brooklyn, NY. You can expect some Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3) action. Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition v.2012 (AE v.2012), Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (TTT2), and Persona 4 Arena (P4A) may be aired as well.

This Big Two event is post Season's Beatings: Ascension. Top players will try to bounce back or maintain their momentum from the big tournament.

DEVASTATION 2012 will not happen, financial and personal issues to blame

Say it ain't so.

DEVASTATION will not take place this year. Jedirobb, the founder and event director of DEVASTATION took to YouTube to be the bearer of bad news. Sponsorship dropouts and personal issues doomed the event.

Last year's DEVASTATION event saw Justin Wong return to his throne in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition action. This event was packed with top players like previous years, which makes this announcement more shocking.

Street Fighter 25th Anniversary tournament hits Sao Paulo on Oct. 13-14

On Oct. 13 and 14 Capcom will be in Sao Paulo, Brazil to host another Street Fighter 25th Anniversary tournament.  They will hit Los Angeles, California the following weekend.

With places such as Texas, New York, and Japan under their belt, the 25th anniversary tournament looks to being the excitement to Brazil. There is a lot of underrated talent in Sao Paulo. It's almost time for them to showcase their abilities.

Capcom could release trailer at New York Comic-Con 2012, Darkstalkers speculated

Has the time finally arrived?

Yoshinori Ono has revealed on his Twitter account that a "limited trailer" may debut at New York Comic-Con 2012 (NYCC). While trolling certainly isn't beneath Ono, Capcom usually puts their best foot forward when it comes to big events like this one.

For months, Capcom has dropped hints on a new Darkstalkers title. Back in February, Capcom renewed the Darkstalkers trademark when it was thought to be a dead issue.
