SoulCalibur V: Tekken, Modern and Ancient costume packs available now


Hail to the King!

Namco Bandai has released three costume packs for SoulCalibur V (SCV) today (April 24). These packs include Tekken, Modern, and Ancient costumes.

The Tekken and Modern packs costs 240 Microsoft Points, while the Ancient Armor set is 160 Microsoft Points.

SoulCalibur V: "Online Warrior" Episode #10


The "Online Warrior" continues to spread.

Maximilian has uploaded the 10th episode of the SoulCalibur V (SCV) edition of the "Online Warrior." Max continues to show his studying of the SCV World Championships is paying off with many of his online matches ending in victory.

Max once again provides live commentary. He also surfs through and responds to fan mail he's received on Xbox Live.

SoulCalibur V: Director talks story mode


What is, could have been much more.

SoulCalibur V (SCV) director, Daishi Odashima, spoke with Train2Game to discuss the game's development. Most of the interview focused on SCV's story mode and what was the vision Odashima had.

SoulCalibur V: 1.02 Patch Notes


Late last week, Namco Bandai revealed that a patch for SoulCalibur V (SCV) would be hitting consoles on March 21. Now the company (via 8 Way Run) has released patch notes for the 1.02 update.

The patch promises to fix some bugs including the ability to evade low attacks and block mid attacks by inputting “up” direction when holding guard button. The fixes and balance changes add to the already announced in-game shop.

SoulCalibur V patch coming March 21


Today (March 15) Namco Bandai (via Andriasang) has announced the upcoming SoulCalibur V (SCV) patch will be hitting Xbox Live and PSN on March 21.

According to the report, this free update will add an in-game shop. Namco Bandai will also add monthly DLC costume packs starting April 3. Perhaps most important to the fighting game community is that the game will also be re-balanced.

The patched version will be played at the world SCV tournament set to go down on April 10 in Las Vegas.

SoulCalibur V: Dampierre unbanned from tournament play

Welcome back, Dampierre.

SoulCalibur V (SCV) player, Dampierre is now officially tournament legal according to 8 Way Run. The dagger wielding con artist was previously banned from tournament play due to being a pre-order only character.

Dampierre is now available for download on Xbox Live and PSN.

SoulCalibur V: Story Mode by Maximilian part 7 finale


Maximilian has finally done it.

He has completed the SoulCalibur V (SCV) story mode. In the week of SCV videos, Max provided live commentary like he's been doing with his "Online Warrior" videos as of late.

Now that he's done with the SCV story, it'll be interesting to see what Max plans next for the Namco Bandai fighter. Will he devote more time to Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3)? Or will he stick with SCV?

Time will tell.

SoulCalibur V: Natsu combos



Fresh off the Natsu combo guide, a new video of the SoulCalibur V (SCV) character has surfaced.

IPHtwo has uploaded his week 1 Natsu combos. It's under two minutes, but the uploader says more will come after some practice.

If you'd like to use Natsu and get a head-start on your opponents, this video and the combo guide is highly recommended.

You didn't think online warriors just existed in Mahvel, did you?

Maximilian has uploaded episode two of his SoulCalibur V (SCV) "Online Warrior" series. Max runs through ranked matches and gives some tips and tricks to players who want to dip their toes in the online world of SCV.

The commentary goes live with the action so you get to here Max scream and go bonkers as he gets pummeled or does the bruising.
