Vangief vs. Filipino Man to headline UFN 4 on Oct. 15

The fourth Ultimate Fight Night (UFN) is set for Oct. 15.

The bi-weekly event returns next Monday with a main event that is sure to get the fighting game community (FGC) talking. PandaxGaming announced Vangief will meet Filipino Man. The full card has not been revealed yet.

Vangief shocked the world when he placed fifth in the Evo 2010 Super Street Fighter IV tournament. Filipino Man made waves at Evo 2012 when he defeated WW MCZ Ryan Hart. It'll be interesting to see how this match-up turns out as these two competitors are perhaps the most overlooked AE v.2012 players today.

Dead or Alive 5: Story Mode part 9 by Maximilian (Video)

MvC Origins: "RETRO ASSIST ME!" Outtakes Part 1 (Video)

Maximilian has posted the first part of outtakes to his "RETRO ASSIST ME!" series. The series was made in anticipation of Marvel vs. Capcom (MvC) Origins. See the bloopers below.

Capcom's Vice President Christian Svensson took to the Capcom-Unity forums to let fan know there are no more planned fighting game releases for 2012. He also says he can not discuss any announcements of fighting games in 2013. Yoshinori Ono recently hinted at a special trailer for New York Comic Con, which will begin on Thursday (Oct. 11).

King of the Bling set for Oct. 13-14 at Game Galaxy Arcade in Tennessee

A huge tournament is set for Oct. 13-14 at Game Galaxy Arcade in Tennessee. The list of games included are Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition v.2012 (AE v.2012), Mortal Kombat 9 (MK9), Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (TTT2), Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3), Persona 4 Arena (P4A), and King of Fighters XIII (KoF XIII).

Ultimate Fight Night (UFN) host PandaxGaming will handle streaming duties for King of the Bling. FightVG.com will post the live stream before it airs.

EB Expo 2012: Ed Boon talks Injustice: Gods Among Us with Gamespot

So close, yet so far away.

Injustice: Gods Among Us won't make its way to North America until April 2013. The upcoming NetherRealm fighter will see a release on Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U. Luckily, Gamespot interviewed the game's lead man Ed Boon at the EB Expo in Australia.

Boon goes in-depth on what the team is attempting to bring to the table with this DC Comics free-for-all. He discusses Injustice's characters, stage interaction, and more.

Forty-seven Big Two events have concluded.

Team Sp00ky once again streamed the live weekly tournament action from Next Level in Brooklyn, NY yesterday (Oct. 3). Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition v.2012 (AE v.2012), and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3) were played. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (TTT2) and Persona 4 Arena (P4A) did not make it to the event.

This was the first Big Two after Season's Beatings: Ascension. Did top players make up for their woes or kept the momentum going?
