Hilmar Hahn: We want to give the fighting game genre something awesome with the Razer Arcade Stick


Street Fighter in particular.

The marketing director for Razer, Hilmar Hahn, spoke with Fighters Fury to discuss the upcoming Razer Arcade Stick. Razer had made an open community beta program that you can apply for if you want to test out the stick before its release.

To apply, click here. The application process requires the usual such as your first and last name, address, email address and a brief statement on why you think you should be chose to test the stick.

"I think it’s really awesome that the Fighting Game Genre is making a huge return on next-gen consoles. Street Fighter IV especially brought back the love. At Razer, we’ve got so many engineers and designers who adore this game and play in the office, at home, and so naturally, we wanted in on the excitement. We wanted to contribute something awesome to this genre. That’s why we made the arcade stick."

Hahn also talked about the rising popularity of fighting game tournaments such as EVO, SBO and even Wednesday Night Fights.

The marketing director for Razer also reassured gamers that while the stick has Sanwa parts, they can modify it to their liking.
