Video: Marvel vs. Capcom Origins rundown

It's no secret that the Marvel vs. Capcom (MvC) series holds some of the most popular fighting games in the industry. Titles such as MvC, MvC2, MvC3, and UMvC3 have gained the respect of both hardcore and casual fans.

The success of the earlier Marvel fighters from Capcom was so great, a remake is set for release in September for Xbox 360 and PS3. Marvel vs. Capcom Origins will feature Marvel Super Heroes and MvC: Clash of Super Heroes.

The game will be available on Xbox Live for 1200 Microsoft Points and $14.99 on PSN. IGN caught up with MvC Origins producer Derek Neal to discuss what gamers can expect from the remake.

Marvel vs. Capcom Origins announced, coming to Xbox Live and PSN September

Thank you Christian Svensson.

Capcom has made an announcement today (July 5) and it's a doozy. The company will be releasing Marvel vs. Capcom (MvC) Origins on Xbox Live and PSN Sept. 2012. This will be a compilation of MvC: Clash of Super Heroes and Marvel Super Heroes.

So how much will two classic Capcom fighters in one cost? $14.99 on PSN and 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live. This is the same price as the 2009 re-release of MvC2.

Check out the press release from Capcom as well as the official trailer for MvC Origins, after the jump.
