BlazBlue 3 in 2012?

Rebel 3?

Arc System Works producer and designer, Toshimichi Mori, sat down with Japanese magazine, Gemaga (via Japanator), to discuss the future of BlazBlue and the possibility of diving into other projects.

When asked what his goals were for 2012, Mori said he'd like to release BlazBlue 3. If the third installment ends up being the final in a trilogy, the chances of a new Guilty Gear game would increase significantly.

Continuum Shift was released for Xbox 360 and PS3 on July 27, 2010. Part two was made available as a free update in May the following year.

Extend was revealed back at E3 2011 for PlayStation Vita. It was later revealed that the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will hit store shelves on Valentine's day, Feb. 14, 2012.

If BlazBlue 3 does see a 2012 release, don't expect to get your hands on it until late summer or early fall.
