It's Official: Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 coming to PlayStation Vita

The rumors are correct.

Last month, Amazon's french website showed a listing for a future Marvel vs. Capcom 3 release on the PlayStation Vita. Numerous news outlets speculated that the PlayStation Vita would see an Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 release.

Their predictions will now come to fruition.

Capcom's European website has confirmed that the Ultimate edition will make its way to Sony's upcoming handheld. The handheld version will be coming out this November like the home consoles and will be released at a "mid-range price."

The portable version of Ultimate will feature a redefined fighting system and 48 characters from both the Marvel and Capcom universe. All the features on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are expected to make it on the Vita.

No word on whether or not DLC characters will make their way to the PlayStation Vita.

Back at this year's E3, Capcom revealed that Street Fighter x Tekken would be released on Sony's latest touchscreen handheld so news of Ultimate making its portable debut doesn't come as a huge surprise.

With Street Fighter x Tekken making its way to the PlayStation Vita, it seems Capcom is warming up to Sony's new handheld. While Capcom has not completely left the Nintendo 3DS out of the dark, it looks like Sony will be getting most of the portable love ... for now.
