Street Fighter x Tekken: Patch for Rolento glitch set for June 14

The current Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) producer Tomoaki Ayano has released some news on the Japanese Capcom blog (via SRK). Last month, a Rolento glitch was discovered. Throwing a knife at projectiles causes the game to freeze.

That same month, Capcom revealed a patch would be on the way. Ayano says the patch will arrive June 14. He also apologizes for the wait and says the company wishes to avoid making the same mistake in the future.

Ayano is currently in the United States. He is preparing to attend the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), which is set to go down June 5-7.

Street Fighter x Tekken: Rolento glitch to be fixed mid-June

Freeze!

Capcom recently released a patch for Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT). While the patch fixed many issues such as infinites, an even bigger problem emerged. Rolento can now lock up the game.

If Rolento throws his knife at projectiles, the game will freeze. You'll have to reset your console if you want to continue playing. This is a glaring issue, so much so that the character has been considered for banning of tournaments.

The official Capcom Japanese blog has confirmed that a fix is underway. Expect to download the patch in mid-June.

Rolento to be banned from CEO SFxT tournament?

Uh-oh.

Capcom released a Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) patch this week. While the patch fixed infinites and nerfed some characters, there was one big issue Capcom dropped the ball on.

When Rolento throws his knife at projectiles, the game freezes. It's such a game breaking error that the character may be banned at one of the biggest fighting game tournaments of the year.

See what CEO organizer Alex Jebailey had to say on Twitter regarding Rolento's future in the upcoming tournament after the jump.
