Begone $40 expansions.
When Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMvC3) was announced back in July, it received criticism from fans who felt the original MvC3 game lacked features that should have been a no brainer.
Street Fighter x Tekken producer (SFxT), Yoshinori Ono, says that a super edition of the game will not be on a disc. If there is an expansion of SFxT, you can expect it on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network (PSN).
See what Ono had to say to Gematsu below.
"If we decide to create a new version of the game, we will go with the Street Fighter IV series route, by providing online update patches for the game. So I would say that you don’t really need to worry about a new version of the game coming out. If we choose to update the game, it will be done in the same fashion as Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition [laughs]."Ono also mentioned that SFxT will be using a new netcode and hopes to provide more details in the future. The netcode will not be used in UMvC3.
SFxT hits stores March 6, 2012.
