Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown coming to Evo

The main floor is set, but more games are heading to Las Vegas.

SRK has revealed that Sega will be bringing Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown to Evo 2012. $15,000 is at stake so if you're feeling confident in your abilities, dust off VF5 and get to work.

Final Showdown will hit Xbox Live and PSN this summer. SRK notes that all registrations will be handled by Sega.

Sega Saturn Saturdays: Virtua Fighter Collection (Video)

Yesterday (April 28) Maximilian uploaded the fifth episode to his "Sega Saturn Saturdays" series. This one takes a look at the Virtua Fighter games that were released on the Saturn. Like every other episode, Max is joined by his colleague, Matt.

Dead or Alive 5: More Virtua Fighter characters on the way?

More is more.

Yesterday (March 6) Tecmo Koei announced that Dead or Alive 5 (DoA 5) would be coming to North America for Xbox 360 and PS3 in September. They also revealed Virtua Fighter's Akira Yuki as a playable character.

Akira is a well known character in the fighting game community. Picking him to be the main extra character for DoA 5 may make the most sense from a business perspective.

But he may not be the only one tagging along.
