Atlus announces Fighting Championships for Nov. 17 in Walnut


Atlus has announced their own Fighting Championships. The publisher is teaming with Level Up to bring the event to Super Arcade in Walnut, California. The event takes place on Nov. 17, 2012.

King of Fighters XIII (KoF XIII) and Persona 4 Arena (P4A) will be the two games played at the tournament. Mad Catz, Atlus, and community prizes will be given away. It's unknown what these prizes will be.

First place winners will take 60-percent of the pot. Runner-ups will take 30-percent, while competitors in third place will earn 10-percent. You can only register onsite and participants are required to bring their own pads or sticks. There is no venue fee but a five dollar buy-in is required for each game.

TTT2 Tournament Edition fightsticks now available for pre-order


That didn't take long.

Mad Catz announced their Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (TTT2) fightsticks just two days ago (Sept. 2). Now the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the stick are available for pre-order. A Wii U version is in the works as well.

Mad Catz had a reputation of making unreliable controllers years ago. The company turned a corner when they partnered with Capcom to make arguably the most high quality fightsticks to hit the market.

Evo 2012: Mad Catz bringing custom fightsticks and shirts to tournament event


An Evo event without Mad Catz just doesn't feel right.

That's why the company that has brought you numerous standard and tournament edition fightsticks will be present at Evo 2012. Mad Catz will be giving competitor's shirts to every registered player. The company will also be selling special Evo fightsticks for PS3 and Xbox 360. While details are scarce, these sticks will be sold at the event as well as online for a limited time.

Custom fightsticks will be given to Sega and Atlus for their Evo 2012 booths. The custom sticks feature Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown artwork for Sega and Person 4 Arena artwork for Atlus. These fightsticks will not be sold.

Evo 2012 will take place from Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas July 6-8. FightVG.com will post live streams of the event when it airs.

Street Fighter x Tekken: New Sticks and Pads available at Gameshark

Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) hits stores March 6, but the game's official pads and sticks are available now.

The Gameshark store has now added new SFxT sticks and pads by Mad Catz to its catalog. The stick of Capcom's upcoming crossover with the Namco Bandai juggernaut has Sanwa parts.

A connector kit is also available for purchase if you'd like to dual mod two V.S. SFxT sticks.

Namco has revealed an exclusive offer for Tekken enthusiasts.

As if the standard Tekken Hybrid or the limited edition wasn't enough, Namco has now made an extreme edition. This edition will include a limited Mad Catz Namco arcade stick.
